Overview: 
                  Dry skin is usually not serious. In most cases, this is due to factors such as hot or cold weather, low humidity in the air, and soaking in hot water. 
                                                                                            There are many things you can do to improve your skin, including using a moisturizer and avoi ding harsh, drying soaps. But sometimes dry skin is frequent or severe. In these cases, you may need help from a doctor who is a dermatologist.

 Symptoms:
Dry skin is often temporary - you only get it in the winter, for example - but it can be a lifelong condition. The signs and symptoms of dry skin depend on your age, your health, where you live, the time you spend in and out, and the cause of the problem. Dry skin causes one or more of the following. Feeling of tightness in the skin, especially after bathing, showering or swimming.

Causes: 
Dry skin (xerosis) often has an environmental cause. Some diseases can also significantly affect your skin. Possible causes of dry skin include:
 I. Weather. When the temperature and humidity level drop in winter, it becomes drier in winter. But it doesn't matter much if you live in the desert. 
II. Heat Central heating, wood burning stoves, space heaters and fireworks all reduce moisture and dry out your skin. 
III. Hot baths and showers can cause long, hot showers or showers to dry out your skin. So you can swim frequently, especially in heavy chlorinated locks.
 IV. Hard soaps and detergents. Many popular soaps, detergents and shampoos remove moisture from your skin as they remove oil. Prepare.

Risk factors
• Anyone can prepare dry skin. But you are more likely to develop this condition if you:
 • You are 40 years of age or older. This risk increases with age - more than 50% of older people have        dry skin.
 • Live in a dry, cold or low humidity climate.
 • Do something that requires you to immerse your skin in water, such as nursing and hair styling.
 • Swim frequently in chlorinated pools. 

Complications
 Dry skin is usually harmless. But when not taken care of, it can cause dry skin:
  Atopic dermatitis (eczema) If you are at risk for this condition, excessive dryness can trigger the disease, which causes redness, cracking and inflammation. 
 Infections can break out on dry skin, allowing bacteria to enter, and cause infections. 
 These complications are most likely to occur when your skin's general immune system is compromised.

 For example, severe dry skin can cause deep cracks or fissures, which can open up and bleed, allowing the bacteria to attack. 

Prevention:
 Try these tips to prevent the skin from becoming too dry: 
 • Moisturize. moisture seals the skin to prevent water from escaping. 
• Limit water exposure. Set aside 10 minutes or less to bathe and bathe. Heat the dial, not hot. Try to take a bath more than once a day.
 • Leave the soap to dry. Try moisturizers with cleansing creams, soft skin cleansers and shower gels. 
• Cover the skin as much as possible in cold or windy weather. Winter can be dry, especially in the skin, so be sure to wear a scarf, hat and gloves when you go out. 
• Wear rubber gloves. If you have your hands dipped in water or need to use a very clean cloth, wearing gloves can protect your skin.
